Safety Systems Integration
Modern vehicles like the Prado 250 rely heavily on advanced driver-assistance systems, including ultrasonic parking sensors and forward cameras. The SLX Recon bullbar is engineered so these factory safety features continue to function exactly as intended after installation.

The SLX RECON Bullbar is designed to maximise lighting capability while maintaining full road compliance.

The bar incorporates four 30w auxiliary cube LED lights as part of the integrated lighting system.

Two of the supplied lights connect directly to the vehicle’s existing factory fog light circuit, ensuring seamless integration with the original controls.

The remaining two lights connect to the included plug-and-play wiring harness, allowing additional lighting performance while keeping the installation fully road legal.

Each LED unit also includes a dual-function capability, allowing them to operate as:

  • Fog lights

  • Indicators / turn signals

This provides additional visibility and functionality while maintaining a clean and integrated front-end design.

The lighting system is engineered to complement the 31.5" 6150-lumen LED bar, this provides up to 600 metres of forward lighting,
creating a complete lighting solution for touring, off-road driving and everyday use.

Additionally laser cut outs are included ontop of the bullbar surface for additional 7 or 9 inch spotlights

Prado 250 Protection Architecture

Developed for every Prado 250 variant and both factory grille configurations, the SLX Recon assembly replaces generic frontal protection with a vehicle-specific steel structure. Owners assessing a Toyota Prado 250 bullbar receive a configuration engineered around camera visibility, sensor placement, cooling demand, winch loading and accessory integration rather than decorative mass. Fitment supports touring, regional travel, trade use and controlled off-road operation.

Safety System Interface

Across the factory front assembly, ultrasonic parking sensors and the forward camera require defined relocation positions after installation. Recon incorporates those mounting provisions within the bar architecture, reducing improvised workshop modification and creating a clear basis for post-fitment inspection. Selection of the correct Toyota Prado 250 bullbar remains dependent on vehicle grade, grille arrangement, accessory requirements and the nominated hoop configuration.

Structural Parameters

High-strength SS400 structural steel forms the principal load-bearing assembly, supported by CNC laser cutting, robotic welding and computer-controlled press-brake forming. Surface preparation includes a 12-stage acid dip and chemical process before industrial primer and matt powder coating, with corrosion exposure and structural load testing applied within production controls.

Lighting Package

Four 30W auxiliary cube LEDs are incorporated as standard, with two linked to the factory fog-light circuit and two connected through the supplied wiring harness. Dual-function operation supports fog-light and indicator duties, while the Toyota Prado 250 bullbar also permits integration of a 31.5-inch LED bar and supplementary seven-inch or nine-inch spotlights. Final wiring compatibility remains subject to the completed vehicle specification.

Fitment Control

Where winch, recovery, lighting or antenna equipment is nominated, axle loading and component clearance require installer assessment before completion. Professional installation establishes auditable checkpoints for mounting integrity, cable routing, sensor alignment and accessory operation. Recon checks vehicle application details pre-supply so that each Toyota Prado 250 bullbar is matched to the correct model grille format and intended equipment load.
